Rosette

Rosette sweater - Evil Valentine | Pencil skirt - G2000

Ribbon earrings - Diva | Gold watch - Casio | Nails - Revlon in Sheer Pearl

Zara heels

I can't seem to get enough of white clothes recently. It's funny how white clothes are slowly balancing out the black ones in my wardrobe, leaving about 20 percent colours in between. I found this gorgeous sweater recently at an online boutique Evil Valentine. The 'rose petals' create such an interesting texture and reflect tons of light onto my face. That's another reason why I am loving white clothes. I recommend you girls to check out the store because I personally enjoy the unique selection they cater. Besides, I experienced good customer service and my address was professionally printed out. (I do not understand why some established online stores still choose to write by hand) I believe I saw something similar in Zara months ago and it was love at first sight. My readers will know that I tend to save on clothes and splurge on shoes so no way will I spend $60 on just a sweater! Shop smart! :)

Thank you Mandy for always taking great pictures <3

The Peplum

Today's outfit was inspired by Victoria Beckham. Notice anything different today? I'm free from my usual stack of armparty! Victoria is often seen in either mini skirts, shift dresses or long gowns. But all share one thing in common; a tiny clinched waist. Her outfits usually focus on creating a structured/ exaggerated silhouette and minimum accessories. To me, Victoria Beckham is the definition of "Less is More" when it comes to fashion.

Executive Peplum Blouse - Dressabelle | Pencil skirt - ASOS | Bag - Shanghai

Peplum is one of those things that's universally flattering. It doesn't matter if it's a skirt, dress or top.

If you are stick-thin like me, you get curves, instantly! Pear shaped girls will be glad to know peplum hides any bulge amazingly well. Foor busty girls, a v-neck peplum blouse (like the one I'm wearing) will help balance out the upper torso.

Just like the classic skater dress, peplum is just as good granting us an hourglass figure.

This metal belt came along with my peplum blouse. It's detachable too.

As a guide, pair peplum tops with fitting bottoms because opposites attract. (most of the time) I am wearing my favourite magenta pencil skirt from ASOS!

Colour-block platform heels - Payless (I got mine from Payless store in JCube)

Presenting the 5.5 inch platforms in its full glory! Those are the most colourful heels I own to date. Absolutely in love. You might be surprised to know they only cost me $39.90. Pretty worth it huh? They're sturdy, chunky and very good quality. I walked half a day in these today, no complaints at all.

Ending off with a shot of my favourite things at the moment :)

Middle East Through My Camera

My girlfriends and I recently watched Sex & The City 2. I wasn't even paying much attention to the lousy storyline (as compared to the first). Rather, the scenes where the girls spent their holiday in Abu Dhabi made me want to relive my experiences in the middle east too.

I was lucky. Two years ago, I got to visit my working dad in Qatar, followed by Dubai for a short holiday. A trip to the foreign land meant little for a sixteen year old then. But little did I know, the two places were like rice; I will never crave until it has been taken away from me.

Let the pictures do the talking:

The Qatar Museum of Islamic Art - amazing architecture.

Interior of the museum where curves and lines went in perfect harmony.

Souq Waqif - literally translated as "The Standing Market", renowned for selling traditional garments, spices, souvenirs and handicrafts.

A giant leather sandal (worn by men)

Exotic choices of pets

Typical shop in Souq Waqif selling scarves

The Qatar Villagio (MBS is nothing compared to this)

My family

Saw the most beautiful landscape ever

Sand dune racing is a common past time for Arabian men

In Dubai:

Burj Khalifa - tallest in the world since 2010 standing at 828 meters (compare with the height of the palm trees)

Tried on a typical attire most Arabian/Muslim women wore

Isn't the middle east mysterious, fascinating, magnificent, magical? I would do anything to experience the Middle East again.
