Fashion Feud - Poshism x Zouk

So last Saturday I made my first visit to Zouk (and a club) to attend the Fashion Feud event held by Poshism. Being my first fashion event, I was brimming with excitement as I walked into the crowd,  didn't really know what to expect. Girls and guys were dressed at their best, my eyes were overwhelmed with the kinds of style every fashionista had to showcase.

Even the cupcakes at the dessert corner had Poshism tags on them, how cute?

One of my favourite contestants was Nabilla from Temasek Polytechnic. I've admired her personal style from the very beginning of Fashion Feud competition. She was often seen in wide leg pants so the peplum blouse and a pencil skirt was such a refreshing change. The fact that Nabilla designed her own outfit was remarkable, she definitely rocked the look!

Another favourite of mine was Anzahari from Temasek Poly. He made a huge impression to the crowd with his bizarre sense of fashion but I really do love his creations. Anzahari designed his own outfit for the night too! I am so in love with the satin dress/tunic he's wearing, fashion with no boundaries indeed.

Expectedly, Anzahari was crowned the winner of Fashion Feud! I think he deserves it. The crowd had just witnessed an uprising fashion designer...

During the event, I also bumped into some local bloggers who write blogs I personally adore! Also, thank you to all those who came to say hi, I really appreciate it. :)

With Jiawen (thank you for showing me around!) and the eccentric Rachel of Style Societe. Her  blog is so inspiring because it reflects her unique and unpredictable style.

Met the ever gorgeous and classy Fatiha of In Heels & Wedges! Totally rocking her bright red lips and body-hugging dress. And her little sister too, who was really sweet!

With Nigel, Minji and Michelle of Ready To Swag. It was a pleasure to meet y'all!

Outfit of the night:

(On Mandy) Pleated tunic - H&M | Jeggings - Uniqlo | Nude pumps - New Look
(On me) Rosette sweater - Evil Valentine | Python pants - m)Phosis | Heels - Zara

Of course, not forgetting my dear friend Mandy and the boyfriend who has been supporting and loving me<3

In the goodie bag, I found stickers, vouchers, beauty samples and a full sized gel eyeliner all enclosed in a (very stylish) envelope! Everyone loves freebies, right?

Ending off with a face shot for those of you who are interested in the makeup. Basically, I did a purple smokey eye with highlighted inner corners and smoked crease. I wore false lashes so that the eye makeup would photograph better at night. My skin was kept matte with contours and highlights. Then, I finished off with purple lips - Airborne Unicorn by Lime Crime.

Last but not least, thank you Poshism for the wonderful night!

Birds In Song

Newest obsession - the huge gift bow ring from m)Phosis

Today's photos were snapped along a quiet road at Paya Lebar. Despite the gloomy morning, thank God for the amazing weather late afternoon because I find the evening sun most lovely and flattering. Digital enhancement is almost unnecessary when the lighting is right! Of course, being able to catch the right moments are important to. Since I made a visit to Dressabelle's studio today, I got to explore the surroundings and hunt for good photo spots. There's so much to appreciate in this area; the spiral stairs, back alleys - all of which I believe can be excellent for photography. Can't wait to share more photos with y'all in the future!

Many renowned brands have used bird prints widely in their designs, including Miu Miu and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Doesn't this adorable Peter Pan collar dress remind you of the Twitter bird?! I cannot help but to wonder if it was a collaboration between Zara and Twitter. Nah, I'm just kidding! In case you're wondering, the original one by Zara retails at $89.90 in stores.

I have exciting news and updates coming up really soon that I'm not gonna reveal here just yet! For now, happy weekends to all of you! <3

Peplum 2

Blouse - Riot Loco | Peplum skirt - Love Bonito | Platform heels - Payless | Bag - Shanghai

Wearing Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick in Airborne Unicorn

When it comes to dressing up, some would say I have a split personality. The way I dress changes drastically every single day. That is exactly why I am often speechless when asked to describe my personal style. This particular outfit might just be one of my favourites; it's the kind of outfit which I visualized in my head, try it on and voila! It works! Nothing makes me feel more ladylike than a peplum skirt, and I am especially happy with the length of this one. I find the mini peplum skirts look like pumpkins to me. What do you think?

Advert: Picks from Kwerkee

As someone who constantly seeks new design inspirations for my humble bedroom, I picked out two interesting pieces I wish to incorporate into my space. Let me share with y’all!

Guess what is this…

Woouf Paris
This is actually a beanbag in the form of a suitcase! Just imagine an object like this sitting at the corner of your room, or perhaps used as a bedside table (which I’d prefer), so cheeky and adorable! Comfy too.  In the similar product range, other items in disguise include a stack of ‘magazines’ and even a Rubik’s cube!

The Wild & Wolf 1950s Diner Phone is an interesting one. It brings back so much nostalgia from my primary school days when I used payphones to call my mother, way before the age of mobile phones. I also like to associate payphones with American men in suit and Fedoras and maybe with a roll of newspaper on hand. This phone has a rotatory dial and a full-featured coin bank with lock and key ringer control. Calling a friend may take longer but the fun is definitely worth the time!

Those items can all be found at Kwerkee, a concept by Reebonz. They carry a whole range of unique and quirky (as the title suggests) lifestyle goods and heavily promote design inspiration. Products are shipped in fancy biodegradable boxes and paper bags!

Kwerkee is a membership-based site where anyone can join for free. There will be 2 to 4 events daily, with all items sold at up to 70% off retail price. For instance, the Nespresso Coffee Machine is $318 onsite, much cheaper as compared to $398 in retail. Free shipping applies for all items (within Singapore and Malaysia)! Hooray!

Swing Swing

Photos by my dear friends Joanne and Dione

Earlier this week as I was in town running some errands, I ended up going on a shopping trip all by myself. I couldn't resist! Just a girl being herself. The best buy of my day was a basic fringe mini skirt. It swings merrily with every step I take...maximum impact, minimum effort!
