My mother has a problem with anything sequinned, leather or embellished. She complains that they're extremely difficult during laundry...sorry mom. I'd buy more laundry bags. However, it's no question how those annoying little mirror like specks a.k.a. sequins look stunning in the evening. They glisten as you move, reflecting light around you and make you look like a human disco ball. Well sequins can get pretty intense, but I'm not taking mine too seriously with its playful aztec prints. While this dress comes in two colours (gold and silver), I thought the silver might look a little more flattering on me. So, I stuck with the theme and picked out some sharp silver boots. I prefer my outfits to be less girly so boots come in handy, besides they're more comfortable as well. O'ORO sells the best accessories. And when I said  I've got my festive accessories taken care of, I meant it! This holographic clutch is the perfect thing to carry for special occasions. Looks amazing in reality and as magical as a unicorn. I'm milking this rainy season by wearing my favourite studded leather jacket ever. I've worn it in my posts numerous times before. Surprisingly, it was only $30 from the clearance section of Cotton On. Till this day, I still wonder why would people not notice such a statement jacket. Oh and yes, I had a haircut recently!

How are Black Friday sales going for everyone? I don't remember sales ever being this mad. With ridiculously tempting discounts everywhere, it's hard to say I'm saving hard for a rainy day. It's funny how it's hot summer all year round in Singapore but I absolutely enjoying shopping for winter wear. Who doesn't love layering? I subconsciously shop for anything knitted and furry. I always imagine myself snuggling up with hot tea and TV shows in front of a fireplace...even though in reality it's the complete opposite. To be fair, well at least most malls in Singapore are cool enough.

I love faux fur coats but often they're either overly warm or bulky. Let's face it; in a tropical climate, nobody would carry a fur coat out just to wear for a few hours. I'm glad I found this faux mink one that's pretty cute and lightweight. I also appreciate the fact that it's well lined for comfort. Beneath it, I wore a knit maxi dress. Anything burgundy is perfect for the festive season and extremely flattering. I combated the sheerness by layering a silk romper underneath. I finished the look with metallic jewellery for an edgy vibe. Vampy! Just the way I like it.

Wishlist: November

It's the time of the year again when we are all frantically on the hunt for festive and budget steals. I've done my own fair share of 'market research' *cough* online and as usual, my wish list is filled to the brim, leaving my wallet on the edge... I thought I'd share with you what have caught my eye. ASOS is my absolute favourite place to shop online, and you know me – I'd only share with you what's good! ;-)

1. ASOS 90's Maxi Dress, S$25.16
It puzzles me why this dress is not selling out. It may be cause it's harder to wear due to its extreme low scooped back. This dress drifts towards the slinky side but at the same time, it can look really effortless with slouchy boots and some boho cardigan. I'd willingly find an occasion just to wear this dress...

I already own this one! Except I got ripped off by paying $55 for it before discount >:( But you know, this is one of my most worn dresses and I received so many compliments with it! The minimal style will surprise you with an unique draped exposed back. Unexpectedly flattering. I like to wear it with a fancy bralet but I think a black bra will work just fine. Get it before it's gone! (I'm contemplating to get another in black.)
If this doesn't make you want to finally buy a maxi dress, I don't know what will. Eleven dollars for a maxi is a STEAL! Plus the split at the back is simply awesome. Don't say I never share good things with you. There's another three colours is red isn't your taste.
Okay...I know you must be thinking, "What's with Uli and maxi dresses?" I just love maxi dress because they're so easy to wear. I can never own enough maxi dress just as every girl can't have enough shoes. This tie dye one reminds me of the 90's.

Fish nets are one of those things you either love or loathe. I honestly think this one is a little expensive (that's why I saved it to my wishlist) and there's a similar long sleeved one at H&M for only $39. It's funny how fishnet tanks remind me of toddler wear you'd find in Pasar Malams (a.k.a. Singapore night markets), yet they're the perfect fusion of sport jerseys meets Hip Hop. Very Rihanna-esque I would say. Oh and don't forget that gold chain.
I have been loving the look of crop tops recently, especially those with collars. I don't know if it's silly to want a denim shirt one but it looks so cute nonetheless. I also appreciate that it's not overly short so it's more forgiving.

It's pretty obvious that you know I love Cheap Monday by now. I happened to chance upon this outfit by Klara and I was SOLD. Just look at how insanely gorgeous she belted the side splits together with a Margiela white leather belt..exposing the slightest hint of her tattoo. Man, I want everything she's wearing. And I'm pretty happy that I found a similar one from Cheap Monday!
8. ASOS Harness Bralet, S$57.19
A lot of girls I know told me that they can't find a perfect layering bralet. I totally understand. The flimsy ones you see on local shops often have ridiculous floral prints or sewn-in cups that um, doesn't even fit. Also, I think it's pointless to wear a bra inside a bralet because that defeats the purpose right? I found one on ASOS that has harness details, padded and has a zip at the back. I think it'll look super edgy under sheer tops and quite honestly, it's okay to wear it alone; for appropriate occasions of course!

I'm constantly on the hunt for cute socks. I'm a socks person, even when wearing flats. I normally buy my socks from Daiso for $2 per pair, but I am obsessed over this pair. Purple is my favourite colour and they remind me of ballerina tutus! And that frill-socks-plus-sneakers pairing is just way cool. Sold.
I've heard lots of good things about this bronzer, particularly from one of my favourite vloggers Zoella. As its name suggests, it does actually smell like chocolate! I think it's a good alternative to NARS Laguna bronzer. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think locally it retails for at least $18. Better to order online!
Need a helping hand (literally)? Well then this might be the best thing you can get for yourself and your girlfriend. It wont only look perfect on your dresser, it'll hold all your rings, necklaces and bracelets that you're too lazy to put aside every night. I might as well hang my whole bag on it.

Okay that's all from me for now! These items are still on my wish list and I honestly don't know which are worth my purchase. Leave me a comment letting me know which are your favourites cause I'm interested to know! Let's shop together!^^

Over The T(cr)op

High neck stripe crop top - Topshop (similar here)

Maxi skirt - City Plaza (similar here and here)

Wedged creepers - Underground

Chunky block necklace - The Quiet Riot

The other day I couldn't resist snatching this Topshop cropped top from the petite section, which clearly meant it was made for girls smaller than me. The length of it is questionable, and sometimes I couldn't help but cross my arms when talking to somebody hoping they'll stop staring at my pale (and untoned) tummy... That explains my choice of necklace today. Isn't that the biggest necklace you've ever seen?! I admit that I absolutely love crop tops even though they aren't the most comfortable thing to wear. They're like high heels; either you put them on and feel awesome or you regret your decision for the rest of the day. I love wearing mine with anything high waisted or over maxi dresses.

I finally took time off to watch Hunger Games Catching Fire today and I am pretty disappointed at the ending. Yes, I have watched the first movie but have never read the books, neither do I consider myself a 'fan'. I loved the first movie but the second one just did not work for me. I think the movie is difficult to make sense of for people who have no prior knowledge to the storyline. Okay that aside, I'm so excited for my upcoming holidays! Not only I will try to update this space more, I finally booked a staycation and going to Adventure Cove! Hopefully I'm able to get a waterproof case for my camera so I can take you all with me. Fingers crossed!

Neon Notes

Embossed circle stripe skirt - c/o Dressabelle (launching soon)

Comic Heroine clutch - c/o O'ORO

Oversized blocks necklace - The Quiet Riot

This clutch is more dramatic than me.

Socks - Daiso

Texted colour block top - c/o Dressabelle

Minimal sandal heels - Taobao

Wool cloche hat - H&M

So...I just completed my first semester of Uni and gosh, is this how time flies? The burden of assignments has finally been lifted off my chest and I'm in the mood for fun. Three resolutions I'd strive to fulfil this holiday season; 1. wear all my neglected heels, 2. be diligent with eye makeup and 3. really have fun with my outfits. School leaves me with zero energy to do any of the above.

Today's ensemble is all about classic black and white with neon accents. To say the end result is striking is an understatement. Not sure if it was my clutch, hat or socks-on-sandals combination that attracted a number of stares. I don't normally wear short circle skirts but this one is quite an exception. Let me explain, Not only the fabric is awesome (super thick and stretchy), its shape holds up perfectly. You can sure dress it up or down, and if you look closely, the embossed details are a bonus. Of course, I decided to match a similarly embossed sweater. With a cloche hat that supposedly gives the twenties vibe, the outfit turned out surprisingly sporty in my opinion.

This comic clutch is EVERYTHING. I hate clutches with stingy straps but it's not the case with this bad boy. Its big enough to fit all of my necessities and you can be confident that the durable chain with hold everything. If you're someone who loves art, isn't it better to wear art?
